MAGINATION vs KNOWLEDGE.

IMAGINATION: The image-power of the mind. The act of creating or reproducing ideally an object not previously perceived.
KNOWLEDGE: The fact of knowing about something. General understanding or familiarity with a subject place or situation.
When we look at the sky we see things that have been established by the power of imagination. What lies far beyond our home (Earth) are planets, stars and galaxies. Some of these can not be seen by our naked eyes. Our desire to reach these places has made us unlock the imaginative part of ourselves in creating objects that can pave way and help us in reaching these destinations. Combined with knowledge through physics, mathematics etc. humans are developing different modes of transport and communication for us to finally reach our goals.
Though we have achieved so many things in the past through employing these two together, our argument comes when we start to evaluate the roles played by each. Some of the greatest thinkers that ever lived believed more in imagination than knowledge. Albert Eistein believed Imagination is more important than knowledge. To him, knowledge was limited whilst imagination encircled the world. Imagination allows us to think beyond what is possible, beyond what has been done before into the realm of what has not been done. It allows us to take risk and to think outside the box.
Most successful entrepreneurs do not have any idea of the business they solemnly wish to venture in. They have no knowledge about whether their products/services will solve the identified problems. But they never stop pursuing their dreams because they have no idea how to make things work. Knowledge is power. But what is power if its finite? In school we were taught and we learned. In school nothing can beat knowledge not even imagination. Entrepreneurs dream of running a successful business and they hire people with knowledge of running a business for them and the same people help them in achieving their dreams.
People with knowledge hate "thinking" because they believe they know everything and that their knowledge is a starting point for acquiring endless riches. Is that so, why then do we have doctors, pilots, lawyers, teachers who are not rich? People with knowledge love sharing their knowledge with those who lack it. They also love working because thats what knowledge tells us to do.
Imagination is like religious faith. It allows us to believe in things we have never seen, things that science can not prove, things that history does not refer to, and things that even knowledge does not know. Napoleon Hill once remarked, " what the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve" This is a pure demonstration from history that imagination is much more important than knowledge, though knowledge plays a small part in the imaginative process.
