The Young Brave Girl

The Young Brave Girl

I saw resistance to be bullied by an older guy in the eyes of this young girl from Nharira Primary School in Mbare. She stood there like she was ready to hit the guy with everything she had, or maybe she really would have.

I believe what scared the guy the most was the fearlessness in the eyes, voice tone, and body language of this young girl. What scared the guy the most was that the girl was prepared to lose everything whilst he was not willing to take that chance.

I would really want to see many young girls who can resist being bullied buy their fellow male counterparts. I want to see people who can refuse to be bullied by circumstances in life. I want you to challenge your fears, face them and show them that the time to be scared has passed now. Some battles are not won by the fist but by the courage, discipline and the determination to win.

A lot of girls would have said well he is a guy and I’m just a girl what can I do? He is much older than me. This is what most of us do on the first sign of defeat. We hate losing that we do not take the chance of winning. The fear of losing is greater than faith in succeeding.  As your bully steps closer to you, do not hold back, move forward get even closer and you will realise who is really scared of who. Do not run into hiding, for most victories in life comes at a time when all hope seems to have been lost.
